Netanyahu reportedly told the French president he would only be allowed to visit if he drops his plan to recognize Palestine. The French president was set to pay a visit to Israel, ahead of the United Nations General Assembly. However, apparently Prime Minister Netanyahu told Macron he would only be welcome in Israel if he withdrew his plan to recognize Palestine, according to French-Israel politician, former French MP Meyer Habib.
Macron announced France would recognize Palestine as a state at the UN General Assembly on July 24th.
