Trains have been delayed after a fire broke out near a railway line in Coventry. Firefighters were called to Duggins Lane in Tile Hill at around 12.30pm today (April 3).
Services between London and Edinburgh, Manchester Piccadilly and Bournemouth, Birmingham New Street and London Euston, and Nuneaton and Leamington Spa are all subject to delays. Passengers with Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, London Northwestern Railway, and West Midlands Railway have reportedly been affected.
National Rail said Avanti West Coast trains have been diverted via Nuneaton. Tickets can be used on the London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway between Birmingham New Street and Leamington Spa and between Nuneaton and Coventry.

Passengers can also use them on CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Leamington Spa and Chiltern Railways between Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone. Anyone travelling with London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway today (April 3) can use their tickets on National Express West Midlands and National Express Coventry between Birmingham New Street and Coventry.
A spokesman for National Rail said: “A fire next to the track in Tile Hill means all lines are closed. Trains running between Birmingham International and Coventry may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted. Major disruption is expected until 5pm.”
